This is the final episode of season one so I thought I would end on a high note by introducing a subject that we will return to many times;
Content Marketing
According to Wikipedia the definition is as follows;
Content marketing is any marketing that involves the creation and sharing of media and publishing content in order to acquire and retain customers. This information can be presented in a variety of formats, including news, video, white papers, e-books, infographics, case studies, how-to guides, question and answer articles, photos, etc
You can read the full definition here
As I see it there are broadly three types of online content
- Written
- Blogs
- White papers
- E-books
- Visual
- Video
- Infographics
- Images
- Audio
- Podcasts
- MP3 downloads
I believe there are four reasons for content
- Demonstrate your expertise
- Build trust and relationships
- Increase visibility
- To provide value and genuine help for your audience.
Content doesn’t all have to be created by you, sharing other people’s content is a perfectly valuable form of content marketing but to be most effective you should do both.
Creation – 30% Shared – 70%
Content marketing is the foundation on which you build your following on LinkedIn and is at the heart of most social selling activities.

It can be difficult to get noticed in iTunes and one thing that can really make a difference is reviews. If you enjoy the show please take a minute to write an honest review in iTunes, it would be most appreciated.
If you are not sure how to write an iTunes review I have made a short video demonstrating how this is done.
